Impacts of Storage Dispatch Assumptions on Resource Adequacy
Researched the effects of energy storage dispatch assumptions on resource adequacy assessment using a modified version of the NREL Probabilistic Resource Adequacy Suite. These experiments were performed to demonstrate the importance of accurately modeling storage dispatches in resource adequacy studies. This research was performed in the Renewable Energy Analysis Lab under Professor Daniel Kirschen and Ph.D. candidate Gord Stephen.
